Fr. Carr to offer Traditional Mass on Saturday

The Traditional Latin Mass (Extraordinary Form) for the Feast of St. Albert the Great will be offered at 7:00 am on Saturday, November 15, by Father Richard Carr at St. Michael Church, 7401 St. Michael’s Lane, Annandale.

Please note that this Mass is scheduled at the discretion of the celebrant, and is not part of the parish’s published Mass calendar. This Mass has been added to our seven-day schedule.

Our Lady’s Center schedules Tuesday evening TLM, potluck

On Tuesday, November 18, at 6:30 pm, a Low Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady’s Center, 3301 Rogers Avenue, Ellicott City, Maryland.  A potluck dinner will follow in the Center’s conference room.

Rev. Canisius Tah, associate pastor of the Church of the Resurrection in Ellicott City, will be the celebrant.  Tuesday’s Mass will be the first Traditional Latin Mass at Our Lady’s Center for Fr. Tah, who was ordained in June 2014 for the Archdiocese of Baltimore.

This Mass has been added to our seven-day schedule.

Georgetown TLM scheduled Friday at Copley Crypt Chapel

The Georgetown Traditional Latin Mass (Extraordinary Form) Community announces that a Missa Cantata will be offered Friday, November 14, at 6:00 pm in Copley Crypt Chapel at Georgetown University.  Father Stephen Fields, S.J., will be the celebrant of the Mass of the Feast of St. Josaphat.

Copley Crypt Chapel is located at the rear of Copley Hall, immediately to the north of Healy Hall on the main campus of Georgetown University, 3700 O Street NW, Washington.

Saturday Solemn Vespers, Benediction set at Holy Comforter-St. Cyprian

Solemn Vespers followed by Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament will be held at Washington’s Holy Comforter-St. Cyprian Church on Saturday, November 15, at 7:00 pm.

Father James Bradley of the Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham will be the celebrant. The musical accompaniment will be Claudio Monteverdi’s 1610 Vespers, performed by the Third Practice vocal ensemble with Gregorian antiphons sung by Chorus Sine Nomine under the direction of Brian Bartoldus. Included in the program will be a newly commissioned setting of the Litany of Saints by Dr. Joshua Bornfield.

Holy Comforter-St. Cyprian Church is located on Capitol Hill at 1357 East Capitol Street.

Fr. McDonell to offer Sunday Traditional Mass at Silver Spring

A Low Mass will be offered this Sunday, November 9, at the Traditional Latin Mass Congregation of Silver Spring, Maryland. Father Clint McDonell of the Archdiocese of Detroit will be the celebrant for the Mass of the Feast of the Dedication of the Archbasilica of Our Savior.

Holy Mass will begin at 8:00 am.  Confessions will be heard from 7:30 to 7:55 am.

Silver Spring TLM Congregation meets at the Historic Church of St. John the Evangelist, 9700 Rosensteel Avenue, Forest Glen.

Msgr. Smith to offer Sunday Traditional Mass at Silver Spring

A Low Mass will be offered this Sunday, November 2, at the Traditional Latin Mass Congregation of Silver Spring, Maryland. Monsignor K. Bartholomew Smith, pastor of St. Bernadette parish in Four Corners, will be the celebrant of the Mass of the 21st Sunday after Pentecost.

Holy Mass will begin at 8:00 am.  Confessions will be heard from 7:30 to 7:55 am.
