Acclaimed author of Dominus Est! It Is the Lord, Most Reverend Athanasius Schneider, auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Mary Most Holy in Astana, Kazakhstan, will visit Washington, D.C., on the weekend of February 14-15, 2015, to deliver a lecture and to celebrate Holy Mass.
On Saturday afternoon, February 14, at 2:00 pm, Bishop Schneider will speak on the topic “Some Aspects of the Renewal of the Church and Its Liturgy” at the Church of the Annunciation, 3810 Massachusetts Avenue NW. His Excellency’s lecture, which is sponsored by the Paulus Institute for the Propagation of Sacred Liturgy, will be followed by a reception generously provided by the American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property.
Bishop Schneider will also be the celebrant of the regularly scheduled Traditional Latin Mass at 9:00 am on Sunday, February 15, at St. Mary Mother of God Church, 727 Fifth Street NW. Readers may recall that Old St. Mary’s was the venue of last month’s Pontifical Mass for Life, also sponsored by the Paulus Institute.
Both Saturday’s lecture and Sunday’s Mass are open to the public.
