A Lenten Day of Recollection sponsored by Juventutem DC will be held at midday on Monday, March 16, in Lourdes Chapel at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington.
Reverend Father Daniel Heenan FSSP, parochial vicar of San Pedro en Cadenas in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, will offer a Traditional Low Mass at 11:30 am. Mass will be followed by a recollection on the theme “Make unto You Friends of the Mammon of Iniquity (Luke 16:9): Lenten Almsgiving.” Confessions will be available before Mass beginning at 10:45 am.
Contributions are being solicited to help the FSSP continue to expand its apostolic outreach in Mexico and throughout Latin America. Fr. Heenan writes about this work in a recently published article at New Liturgical Movement that includes a donation link.
