Fr. Tunink to offer Missa Cantata at Silver Spring

A Missa Cantata with choir will be offered this Sunday morning, December 13, at the Traditional Latin Mass Congregation of Silver Spring, Maryland. The celebrant of the Mass of the Third Sunday of Advent will be Reverend Father Shawn Tunink of the Archdiocese of Kansas City, Kansas.

Holy Mass will begin at 8:00 am.  Confessions will be heard from 7:30 to 7:55 am. A second collection will be taken up for the Retirement Fund for Religious; checks may be made payable to Our Lady Queen of Poland Parish.

Fr. Carr to offer Traditional Mass this Wednesday, Saturday

The Traditional Latin Mass (Extraordinary Form) will be offered at 7:00 am on Wednesday and Saturday mornings of this week by Reverend Father Richard Carr at St. Michael Church, 7401 St. Michael’s Lane, Annandale.

On Wednesday morning, December 9, a low ferial Mass of the second week in Advent will be offered. Low Mass of the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe will be offered on Saturday morning, December 12.

Please note that these Masses are scheduled at the discretion of the celebrant, and are not part of the parish’s published Mass calendar. These Masses have been added to our seven-day schedule.

Fr. Czarnota to offer Immaculate Conception TLM at Silver Spring

A Low Mass will be offered this Tuesday, December 8, at the Traditional Latin Mass Congregation of Silver Spring, Maryland. The celebrant of the Mass of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception will be Reverend Father Paul Czarnota of the Archdiocese of Detroit.

Holy Mass will begin at 10:00 am. Confessions will be heard from 9:30 to 9:55 am. This Mass has been added to our seven-day schedule.

Fr. Czarnota to offer TLM Sunday at Silver Spring

A Low Mass will be offered Sunday, December 6, at the Traditional Latin Mass Congregation of Silver Spring, Maryland.  The celebrant of the Mass of the Sunday after the Ascension will be Rev. Paul Czarnota of the Archdiocese of Detroit.

Holy Mass will begin at 8:00 am.  Confessions will be heard from 7:30 to 7:55 am.

At 10:00 am Sunday morning, His Eminence Donald Cardinal Wuerl, Archbishop of Washington, will install Reverend Father Jerzy (George) Frydrych, S.Ch., as pastor of Our Lady Queen of Poland & St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, the host parish for the Silver Spring TLM Congregation. All are invited to attend Fr. Frydrych’s installation ceremony and Mass.

The portraits in the front of the church are being renovated and re-framed. Those who would like to help defray the $1,500 cost may give donations (payable by check to Our Lady Queen of Poland Parish) to Mr. James Glenn after the 8:00 Mass.

Georgetown TLM postponed to next Friday evening

The Georgetown Traditional Latin Mass (Extraordinary Form) Community announces a schedule change. No Missa Cantata will be offered this Friday evening, December 4, as originally announced. A Missa Cantata will be offered next Friday evening, December 11, at 6:00 pm in Copley Crypt Chapel at Georgetown University. This Mass is being added to our seven-day schedule.

Copley Crypt Chapel is located at the rear of Copley Hall, immediately to the north of Healy Hall on the main campus of Georgetown University, 3700 O Street NW, Washington.

Fr. Carr to offer Traditional Mass on Wednesday morning

The Traditional Latin Mass (Extraordinary Form) will be offered this Wednesday by Reverend Father Richard Carr at St. Michael Church, 7401 St. Michael’s Lane, Annandale. On Wednesday morning, December 2, Mass of the feast of St. Bibiana will be offered at 7:00 am.
