Baltimore St. Alphonsus to welcome Fr. Kiefer at Sunday post-TLM social

A social will be held at the National Shrine of St. Alphonsus Liguori in Baltimore after the 11:30 am Traditional Latin Mass this coming Sunday, August 6, to welcome new pastor Reverend Father Joel Kiefer to the parish. Father Kiefer, a member of the Priestly Society of St. Peter, assumed pastoral duties at the Shrine this past Tuesday, August 1, succeeding interim administrator Reverend Father William Spacek of the Archdiocese of Baltimore.

The Shrine, located at 114 West Saratoga Street in downtown Baltimore, now offers the Traditional Latin Mass every Sunday at 11:30 am and every weekday at 7:00 am. These Masses are listed on our seven-day schedule.

Fr. Carr to offer TLMs Thursday, Friday evenings, Saturday morning

The Traditional Latin Mass (Extraordinary Form) will be offered on Thursday and Friday evenings and Saturday morning of this week by Reverend Father Richard Carr at St. Michael Church, 7401 St. Michael’s Lane, Annandale.

A month’s mind Requiem Mass will be offered on Thursday evening, August 3, at 5:30 pm, for the grandmother of one of St. Michael’s altar boys. On Friday evening, August 4, Low Mass of the Feast of St. Dominic will be offered at 5:00 pm. Low Mass of the Feast of Our Lady of the Snows will be offered at 7:00 am on Saturday morning, August 5.
