all_saintsA Low Mass will be offered Wednesday morning, November 1, at the Traditional Latin Mass Congregation of Silver Spring, Maryland. Reverend Father Vincent Rigdon, pastor of Our Lady of the Presentation parish in Poolesville, will be the celebrant of the Mass of the Feast of All Saints.

Holy Mass will begin at 11:00 am.  Confessions will be heard from 10:30 to 10:55 am.

Silver Spring TLM Congregation meets at the Historic Church of St. John the Evangelist, 9700 Rosensteel Avenue, Forest Glen. Ample free parking is available at the Knights of Columbus Hall across the road.

Fr. Carr to offer TLM this Monday morning, Thursday evening

13iconOn Monday morning, October 30, at 6:45 am, a low Votive Mass of the Most Holy Trinity will be offered. A Solemn High Mass for the Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed will be offered at 7:00 pm on Thursday evening, November 2.

Missa Cantata to be offered this Saturday afternoon at Fairfax St. Leo the Great

A Sung Mass in the Extraordinary Form for the Feast of Ss. Simon & Jude will be celebrated at St. Leo the Great Church in Fairfax at 2:00 pm on Saturday afternoon, October 28. This Mass has been added to our seven-day schedule.

St. Leo the Great Church is located at 3700 Old Lee Highway, between U.S. Route 50 and Main Street in Fairfax. Ample free parking is available.

Fr. Carr to offer Sung Requiem Mass this Wednesday morning

A Sung Requiem Mass in the Extraordinary Form will be offered at 10:00 am on Wednesday morning, October 25, at St. Michael Church, 7401 St. Michael’s Lane, Annandale. The Mass for the repose of the soul of Ada Ray, mother of longtime St. Michael’s altar server David Ray (who is now a seminarian for the Archdiocese of Baltimore), will be celebrated by parochial vicar Reverend Father Richard Carr.

Fr. Langevin to offer Dominican Rite Missa Cantata on Sunday at Silver Spring

A Missa Cantata with schola in the Traditional Dominican Rite is scheduled on Sunday, October 22, at the Traditional Latin Mass Congregation of Silver Spring, Maryland. The celebrant of the Mass of the Twentieth Sunday after Pentecost will be Reverend Father Dominic Langevin op, Instructor in Systematic Theology at the Dominican House of Studies in Washington.

Holy Mass will begin at 8:00 am. Confessions will be heard from 7:10 to 7:50 am.

Bishop Schneider to celebrate Bl. Karl pontifical Mass Saturday at Old St. Mary’s

A Pontifical Solemn High Mass for the feast day of Blessed Karl of Austria, Emperor and King, will be offered at 1:00 pm this Saturday afternoon, October 21, 2017, at Washington’s St. Mary Mother of God Church, home of the first shrine dedicated to Blessed Karl in the Washington area.

The celebrant of the Mass will be His Excellency Athanasius Schneider orc, Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of Mary Most Holy in Astana, Kazakhstan. Music will be provided by St. Mary’s Schola, by St. Benet’s Schola, and by the polyphonic choir Musikanten, directed by Kerry Krebill. A first-class relic of Blessed Karl will be displayed for veneration.

After the Mass a reception will be held nearby on Fifth Street NW. Guests of honor at the reception will be Prince Dmitri Galitzine, great-grandson of Blessed Karl, and Princess Alexandra Galitzine.

A Low Mass will be offered this Sunday, October 15, at the Traditional Latin Mass Congregation of Silver Spring, Maryland. Reverend Father David Friel of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia will be the celebrant of the Mass of the Nineteenth Sunday after Pentecost. This Mass has been added to our seven-day schedule.

Holy Mass will begin at 8:00 am. Confessions will be heard from 7:30 to 7:55 am. A second collection will be taken up for World Missions and Propagation of the Faith.

Solemn High TLM for Fátima centenary set at Holy Comforter-St. Cyprian

In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Miracle of the Sun at Fátima, a Solemn High Traditional Latin Mass will be offered at 7:30 pm this Friday evening, October 13, at Washington’s Holy Comforter-St. Cyprian Church. Musical accompaniment, including polyphonic works by Byrd and Palestrina, will be provided by the vocal group Chantry. All are invited to attend.
