Blessings for the Feast of the Epiphany and a High Mass in the Extraordinary Form will be offered on Saturday morning, January 6, at the National Shrine of St. Alphonsus in Baltimore.
At 9:00 am, Reverend Father Joel Kiefer fssp, pastor of St. Alphonsus parish, will bless water and chalk for use in the home along with gold, frankincense, and myrrh. The faithful may bring water in their own containers (as long as the container’s mouth is not too small and it is reserved for the use of holy water) or purchase Lourdes water at the parish store to be blessed. Mass will follow at 10:00 am. Coffee will be served after Mass, and attendees are invited to bring lunch or brunch items to share.
The Shrine is located at 114 West Saratoga Street in downtown Baltimore. Street parking will be available for $2.00 per hour. Free parking will be available one block away in the surface lot at the southeast corner of Liberty and Saratoga Streets.
