We are frankly puzzled by the following observation . . .

Monsignor Paul J. E. Burkard, Pastor of Our Lady of Victory, noted that the church has had a temporary altar for the past 30 years.

. . . as our gaze fixates on that structure at the top of the steps behind His Excellency.

Gainesville Holy Trinity sets TLM conference and Mass for Assumption

A mini-conference on the Traditional Latin Mass will be held at 6:00 pm on Monday evening, August 15, at Holy Trinity Church in Gainesville, Virginia. Talks on ad orientem worship and Gregorian chant will be given by Reverend Father Thomas P. Vander Woude, pastor of Holy Trinity, and by Sister Maria Kiely osb of the Congregation of Solesmes.

After the conference, Father Vander Woude will celebrate low Mass of the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary at 7:00 pm. The evening’s events are free of charge and open to all, especially newcomers to the Traditional Latin Mass.

Holy Trinity Church is located in Prince William County, Virginia, about four and a half miles south of the intersection of Interstate 66 and U.S. Route 29. Ample free parking is available.
