Annunciation TLM to be celebrated at D.C. St. Francis de Sales

A Low Mass in observance of the Feast of the Annunciation will be celebrated at Washington’s St. Francis de Sales Church this coming Saturday morning, March 25, at 8:00 am. Reverend Father Brian Sanderfoot will be the celebrant of the Mass.

St. Francis de Sales Church is located at 2015 Rhode Island Avenue NE, about a mile from Catholic University and from the Brookland station of Metrorail’s Red Line. Parking is available in a surface lot behind the church that may be accessed from St. Francis de Sales Place NE.

Annunciation Missa Cantata set for Monday evening at Chinatown Old St. Mary’s

A Sung High Mass in the Extraordinary Form for the Feast of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary will be offered at 7:30 pm on Monday evening, April 4, at Washington’s St. Mary Mother of God Church.

Reverend Father Luke Melcher will be the celebrant of the Mass, which has been added to our seven-day schedule.

St. Mary Mother of God Church is located at 727 Fifth Street NW in Chinatown.

Annunciation Sung Mass to be offered Wed. A.M. at St. Thomas Apostle

A Sung Mass celebrating the Feast of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary will be offered at Washington’s St. Thomas Apostle Church on Wednesday morning, March 25, at 7:00 am. Both the ordinary of Mass XVII and propers of the feast day will be sung in Gregorian chant.

The Oratorian Church of St. Thomas Apostle is located at 2665 Woodley Road NW in Woodley Park, one block west on Woodley Road from the Woodley Park Metrorail and Metrobus stops at Connecticut Avenue.

Holy Comforter-St. Cyprian announces Annunciation TLM

A Solemn High Mass in observance of the Feast of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary will be celebrated at Washington’s Holy Comforter-St. Cyprian Church on Capitol Hill this coming Wednesday evening, March 25, at 7:30 pm. Reverend Father Jacob Straub will be the celebrant of the Mass. Music will be provided by the choir and schola of St. Luke’s Ordinariate Community.

Woodbridge Eliz. Seton sets Missa Cantata for Feast of Annunciation

A Missa Cantata will be offered at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Woodbridge, Virginia, on Wednesday, March 25, at 8:00 pm. Parochial vicar Reverend Father Ed Perez will be the celebrant of the Missa Cantata for the Feast of the Annunciation.

Music will be provided by the church’s St. Ambrose Schola. Confessions will be heard beginning at 7:00 pm.

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church is located at 12805 Valleywood Drive in Lake Ridge. Ample free parking is available.

This is what it’s come to

As we sit comfortably in our warm homes and offices on this Feast of the Annunciation of the Lord, perhaps we might consider offering one or more decades of the Rosary in reparation for the careless desecration of the remains of some of our most vulnerable fellow beings, whose inconvenient existences have been snuffed out in the exercise of what some professed Catholics would call a “sacred” right.

May God have mercy on our souls.

Tuesday Annunciation TLM announced at St. Michael Annandale

A sung Traditional Latin Mass (Extraordinary Form) will be offered on Tuesday evening, March 25, at St. Michael Church, 7401 St. Michael’s Lane, Annandale.

Father Joseph Bergida, parochial vicar of St. Andrew the Apostle Church in Clifton, will offer the Mass of the Feast of the Annunciation.  Following the Mass, the faithful will be invited to make or renew their consecration to Jesus through Mary according to the teaching of St. Louis Marie de Montfort.
