Baltimore St. Alphonsus Shrine to receive full rebate of donations to 2018 diocesan appeal

balt4The Archdiocese of Baltimore has announced that all donations from the National Shrine of St. Alphonsus Liguori to the 2018 Archbishop’s Annual Appeal fundraising campaign will be rebated to the parish, tax-free. Typically a parish receives a 25% rebate of donations to the Archbishop’s Appeal until the parish has met its goal, at which point the rebate “flips” and the parish receives a 75% rebate of the rest of its donations.

Besides demonstrating the support of Archbishop Lori and the Archdiocese for the Shrine, this year’s 100% rebate lets parishioners and friends of the Shrine show their own support for the annual archdiocesan campaign and help the Shrine cover the half of its operating expenses that are not now met by weekly collections.

Donations and pledges to the campaign may be made through the parish website or through the archdiocesan website (designating St. Alphonsus as your parish), or in the Shrine’s Sunday Mass collection using the special pledge envelopes available in the back of the church.

The National Shrine of St. Alphonsus Liguori is located at 114 West Saratoga Street in downtown Baltimore.
