A Low Mass will be offered this Sunday, March 18, at the Traditional Latin Mass Congregation of Silver Spring, Maryland. Reverend Father D. B. Thompson of the Diocese of Lake Charles will be the celebrant of the Mass of Passion Sunday. This Mass has been added to our seven-day schedule.

Holy Mass will begin at 8:00 am. Confessions will be heard from 7:15 to 7:45 am.

Fr. Langevin to offer Dominican Rite Missa Cantata on Sunday at Silver Spring

A Missa Cantata with choir in the Traditional Dominican Rite is scheduled on Sunday, March 11, at the Traditional Latin Mass Congregation of Silver Spring, Maryland. The celebrant of the Mass of the Fourth Sunday in Lent (Laetare Sunday) will be Reverend Father Dominic Langevin op, Instructor in Systematic Theology at the Dominican House of Studies in Washington.

Holy Mass will begin at 8:00 am. Confessions will be heard from 7:10 to 7:50 am.

Reverend Father Richard Carr will celebrate a Traditional Latin Mass on Saturday morning, March 10, at St. Michael Church, 7401 St. Michael’s Lane, Annandale. Low Mass of Saturday of the Third Week in Lent with commemoration of the Forty Holy Martyrs will be celebrated at 7:00 am.

Juventutem DC schedules Lenten Mass, recollection Friday at Lourdes Chapel

A Day of Recollection sponsored by Juventutem DC will be held this Friday afternoon, March 10, at 3:30 pm in Lourdes Chapel at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, 400 Michigan Avenue NE, Washington.

Reverend Father Andrew Royals, pastor of St. Joseph Church in Morganza, Maryland, will celebrate Low Mass of Ember Friday in Lent, and afterward will speak on the topic “Rend Your Hearts, Not Your Garments.” The Mass and recollection are free of charge and open to the public. This Mass has been added to our seven-day schedule.

Lourdes Chapel is located on the lower level of the Basilica adjacent to the Crypt Church. The Basilica is about a 10-minute walk from the Brookland-CUA station on Metrorail’s Red Line. Metered parking is available on the Basilica grounds; ample free parking is available in a surface lot across Harewood Road.

St. Thomas Apostle to conduct traditional Holy Saturday Tenebrae

A traditional Holy Saturday choral celebration of Tenebrae will be held at Washington’s St. Thomas Apostle Church on Saturday morning, March 26, at 10:00 am. The service will include the traditional morning offices of Matins and Lauds sung in Gregorian chant.

The Oratorian Church of St. Thomas Apostle is located at 2665 Woodley Road NW in Woodley Park, one block west on Woodley Road from the Woodley Park Metrorail and Metrobus stops at Connecticut Avenue.

Thursday, Saturday TLMs set this week at Fairfax St. Leo

The Traditional Latin Mass (Extraordinary Form) will be celebrated this Thursday evening and Saturday morning at St. Leo the Great Church in Fairfax.

A Low Mass will be celebrated Thursday evening, March 17, at 7:00 pm. On Saturday afternoon, March 19, a Missa Cantata will be celebrated at 2:00 pm. These Masses have been added to our seven-day schedule.

St. Leo the Great Church is located at 3700 Old Lee Highway, between U.S. Route 50 and Main Street in Fairfax. Ample free parking is available.
