Bishop Schneider to celebrate Bl. Karl pontifical Mass Friday at Old St. Mary’s

A Pontifical Solemn High Mass for the feast day of Blessed Karl of Austria, Emperor and King, will be offered at 7:00 pm on Friday, October 21, 2015, at Washington’s St. Mary Mother of God Church, home of the first shrine dedicated to Blessed Karl in the Washington area.

The celebrant of the Mass will be His Excellency Athanasius Schneider, Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of Mary Most Holy in Astana, Kazakhstan. Music will be provided by St. Mary’s Schola, by St. Benet’s Schola, and by the polyphonic choir Musikanten, directed by Kerry Krebill. A first-class relic of Blessed Karl will be displayed for veneration.

After the Mass a reception will be held at Market-to-Market Café across Fifth Street from St. Mary’s. Guests at the Mass and reception will include Princess Maria-Anna Galitzine, granddaughter of Blessed Karl, and Raymond de Souza KM.

A Solemn High Mass for the feast day of Blessed Karl of Austria, Emperor and King, will be offered at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, October 21, 2015, at Washington’s St. Mary Mother of God Church, home of the first shrine dedicated to Blessed Karl in the Washington area.

The celebrant of the Mass will be Reverend Father James Bradley of the Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham, assisted by deacon Reverend Father Lawrence Lew OP and subdeacon Brother Alexander Castorena of the Oratory of St. Philip Neri. Music will be provided by St. Mary’s Schola, by St. Benet’s Schola, and by the polyphonic choir Musikanten, directed by Kerry Krebill. A first-class relic of Blessed Karl will be displayed for veneration.

After the Mass a reception will be held at Market-to-Market Café across Fifth Street from St. Mary’s. Guests at the Mass and reception will include Princess Maria-Anna Galitzine, granddaughter of Blessed Karl.

Our Lady’s Center to host veneration of True Cross relic on March 27

A relic of the True Cross of Jesus Christ will be made available for veneration on March 27 at Our Lady’s Center in suburban Baltimore. The relic will be displayed after the Center’s noon and 7:30 pm  Novus Ordo Masses. On each occasion, veneration will be followed by Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, Confessions, and Stations of the Cross.

Our Lady’s Center is located at 3301 Rogers Avenue in Ellicott City, Maryland.

Our Lady’s Center to host veneration of True Cross relic on 2 Lenten Fridays

A relic of the True Cross of Jesus Christ will be made available for veneration on two Fridays in Lent at Our Lady’s Center in suburban Baltimore.

The relic will be displayed after the Center’s noon and 7:30 pm  Novus Ordo Masses on Friday, February 20, and Friday, March 27. On each occasion, veneration will be followed by Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, Confessions, and Stations of the Cross.

The celebrant of the Mass will be Fr. James Bradley of the Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham, assisted by deacon Fr. Jacob Straub, subdeacon Fr. Tyron Tomson, and homilist Fr. Richard Mullins.  Music will be provided by St. Mary’s Schola and by the polyphonic choir Musikanten, directed by Kerry Krebill.  A first-class relic of Blessed Karl will be displayed for veneration.

After the Mass a reception will be held at Market-to-Market Café across 5th Street from St. Mary’s.  Speakers at the reception will include His Imperial and Royal Highness, The Prince Imperial of Brazil, Dom Bertrand of Orléans-Braganza; Daniela Petchik, leader of Juventutem DC; and Catholic apologist Raymond de Souza.
